April 21st 2020 The corona virus pandemic has had only a modest impact on our operations. All our online testing services are operating normally, as are our private dedicated servers. All online services are monitored as normal.
Paper test supplies continue to be available as normal through our Online Shop, but order turnaround may in some cases be subject to delay, for which we apologise.
Telephone and email connectivity are unaffected.
Unreliable Online Resources for Candidates
December 7th 2018 It has come to our attention that an online guide to ability testing provided by a company called Incisive Media via the website www.v3.co.uk is an unauthorised, modified, and misleading rewrite of the Test Taker's Guides we provide in the Administration Packs for the paper version of the GMA series. Avoid. We have written to the company concerned asking them to remove the resource, as it is a derogatory breach of copyright.
Potential candidates should note that none of the claims that may be found on the Internet from people purporting to have been involved in the development of the GMA series is true. Only those named in the Manual and User's Guide took part in the design and writing of the tests. Some of these claims originate from people who were employees of the original publisher, some from people who were employed at The Hatfield Polytechnic but were not members of the Psychometric Research Unit which undertook the design work. Do not buy their books or services, they were not privy to the design, nor were any of the designers of the rash of subsequent lookalikes.
August 1st 2018 We have replaced all the UK-based infrastructure for GMA-online. We now have much larger and faster servers with 4 Gigabits/sec of Internet bandwidth in a new data centre with diversified connectivity using a new ISP. Our office connectivty is being upgraded to a symmetric leased fibre line, which will enable us to run servers from the premises in an emergency, using a different ISP. The software that delivers GMA-online has been reconfigured to run behind a reverse proxy server which detects and rejects cyberattacks. Our California-based servers, which have provided most of the service since April, are being similarly reconfigured.
We are pleased to announce the opening of our new online shop for the paper versions of GMA, the Graduate and Managerial Assessment series, and MOST. the Modern Occupational Skills Tests, in partnership with our printing and logistics partner X1 Ltd. We continue to hold prices at their 2008 level.
PRD drops CEB/SHL as reseller of GMA and MOST
